***Now to your question: Most of these family history books are
***long since out of print and such is certainly the case with
***"Richard Higgins and His Descendants" by Katherin Chapin
***Higgins, published in 1918. (I checked Barnes & Noble and
***Amazon's used and out-of-print books sections and did not find
***it.) I probably found it in the New Jersey State Library in
***Trenton, where I do most of my research. I assume that it is
***also in Barnstable, Plymouth, Boston, et al. Maybe someone on
***this site can let you know of a library close to you which has
***it--

Don't overlook the Family History Library when looking for rare genealogy
books. If you are near a Family History Center you can rent this film at a
nominal rate and probably the center will have a reader which makes
photocopies from the film.
