Subject: [MaBarnstable] 1844 account listing, David Howes of Dennis
Date: Fri, 26 Sep 2003 13:02:13 -0400

Hi Everyone: I found this account listing in my gggg grandfather David
HOWES' probate file and since it names lots of Dennis locals, I thought I'd
post it to the list in case it mentions anyone else's ancestors.

David HOWES was born Chatham about July 1768 (Thomas 4, 3, Joseph 2, Thomas
1 Howes), he m. Rebecah BAKER at Dennis in 1788 and they raised their family
in Dennisport, where David died 5 February 1843. David and Rebecah had 10
children, including David born 1789, who kept the detailed accounting as
part of his duties as administrator of his father's estate. I descend from
David and Rebecah's daughter Abagail who m. Hiram KELLEY.

I have kept the mispellings and capitalization as written; any additions for
clarification are in parentheses.

***Married to one of David's granddaughters, daughter of his late son Ezra
