Just returned from the Bristol Co. Probate Court with the following
information on Sarah French.

V. 144, p. 142: A petition for guardianship filed by Sarah C. French in 1868
on behalf of underaged children: Sarah J. French, Frederick H. French, Emma
P. French, and George R. French all of Berkley. Births: Sarah J. (Sept. 18,
1851), Frederick H. (Aug. 11, 1853), Emma P. (Dec. 7, 1855) and George R.
(Aug. 2, 1858).

V. 196, p. 526: Appraisal of estate performed by Sarah C. French: Real estate
valued at 400.00, personal estate valued at 342.00. Date: May 14, 1869.

V. 215, p. 287: Permission for the sale of land in the estate (1878). The
same family members are named with the following change: Emma P. Bissett,
obviously a married name. Also contains information relevant to lineage. This
land is the same land set off to the widow of Philip French (unnamed).

Recall the information in the last posting: George S. French (d. 1860 @ 31),
son of Philip and Jerusha French.

All seems to fit. Next step is to track down the birth of Philip French, and
his will which evidently awards the property above mentioned.
