In Massachusetts, there is a separate index for births, marriages and deaths.
These indexes are open to the public at the MA Archives in Dorchester. They
cover the dates from 1840 - 1905. From 1906 forward, they are located at the
MA Vital Records, a location just 10 minutes from the Archives. If you let
me know your grandparents names, I will check the marriage for you, provided
it is before 1906. It is difficult for me to get to the VR, as they are open
only from M-F. I will try to call the F.R. Archdiocese tomorrow and inquire
as to what they have and what they will share.
