Many thanks, Karen, for the additional information on Hugh's & Jane's
children. The statement that the family removed to Scituate in 1750 implies
that Sisson and possibly Richard were born in Swansea, though they weren't in
the town's VR.

Daughter Martha's marriage 24 Nov 1754 to Ephraim SALISBURY, son of Ephraim &
Rosamond (SEAMANS) SALISBURY is in the Swansea VR. Son Peabody's marriage 31
Dec 1761 to Mary DAVIS (parents unknown) is in the Scituate VR. I haven't had
the chance to check for the other children's marriages yet.

Like Karen, I'll also do lookups. I have hundreds of resources in my personal
library, so without specific questions that include probable times, places,
and family connections, I wouldn't know where to start. Most of these sources
are for Colonial New England.

My research is focused on the early settlers of Rehoboth and their ancestors &
descendants in Colonial New England up to about 1800. My database with
40,000+ names is in RootsWeb's WorldConnect Project at
http://wc.rootsweb.com/~jbbullock. It can also be accessed through
ancestry.com. It does include notes and sources.

WorldConnect, http://worldconnect.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi, is usually a
good place to place to start looking for clues for your search, but be aware
that, like the LDS Ancestral File, it contains many inaccuracies and lack of
sources.

Hi Jim,

Good to hear from you; we corresponded earlier regarding the Kingsley family
of Swansea. As long as we're on the subject, I will offer to the list
lookups in The Descendants of James Cole and the Kingsley Family in America,
but --

Please, folks, be specific about what you want me to look up! Give me as
much information as you can, and I'll do my best to help. And please post
your requests to the list; there might be others who would be interested in
the question/answer.

Now to your question, Jim. Page 59 gives the family of Hugh and Jane as
follows:

Sisson, Aug. 13, 1730, dau. of John Sisson. He removed from Swansea, Mass.,
to Scituate in 1750.
