Hello List
I am new to the list and wish to know if this list would be a place to
ask about a marriage lookup?
Anthony Dexter Perry and Dora Etta Bowen, about 1901 in Bristol Co.
Dora aka Dorothy and Evelina married in 1883 to Oscar Crocker, possibly
in Foxboro where she was born abt. 1867. At the time of her birth, her
parents were living in Raynham. The 1883 marriage record (volume 343
page 184) places her age as 18. However, I have her birth certificate
which states 27 Apr 1867.
Her next marriage was to Roland Leonard, Norton MA in 1891 (volume 451
page 261)
Per a 1910 census of her and my great grandfather stated they were
married 9 years.
Anthony Dexter Perry, was actually born in the Azores not MA on 8 Apr
1882, he lived in and around Dighton, Berkley and Taunton with family.
In 1901 he would have been 19 and Dora 34.
The Perry family were actually Pereira Cardoso's from San Miguel, Fayal,
AZR immigrating in the 1880's to the Dighton, Berkley and Taunton
areas. gggrandfather Antone Pereira Cardoso III, immigrated about 1884,
with my gggrandmother Maria Margarida and great grandfather in Anthony
in 1885.
Any assistance or advice is appreciated.
