I have a tremendous amount about the NS Akins, if you are interested.
The founder of the Akin family of Falmouth, NS was Thomas Akin
(1702-1775), son of Capt. John Akin and Mary Briggs of Portsmouth, RI
and Dartmouth, MA. Thomas Akin and one of his sons, Stephen Akin were
grantees at Falmouth at the founding of the township in 1760.
