Hi Jim,

At Genealogy.com, Sons and Daughters of the Pilgrims has an entry on page
40 that begins:

I, Marion Pearce Carter, resident of Attleboro, Mass.; born May 24, 1867 at
Attleboro; married June 30, 1902, at Attleboro; hereby apply for
membership in the Society by right of descent from John Brown, born in
England, 1545, died April 10, 1662, at Swansea, Mass. Services: Civic,
judicial, and military.

Part of that has Esther Perry with a date of birth:

5. My g. grandmother was the daughter of Christopher Brown, born March
14,1734; died 1796; married Esther Perry, born March 5, 1741.

Too bad no sources are given with this entry.
I don't have access to Swansea birth records, and wonder if there is an
Esther Perry listed there.

I have Rounds' "Vital Records of Swansea, Massachusetts, to 1850", but no
Esther there. I found an Esther Perry b. at Attleboro 7 Sep 1732, but that
doesn't match the dob given by Carter.

Jim B.
