Info as is taken from "The History of the Ninth Regiment Massachusetts
Volunteer Infantry, June 1861 - June 1864" by Daniel George Macnamara.
All individuals were privates unless otherwise indicated. (Included
some names similar to Farley, just in case.)

FOLEY, James, Co A, Corp., enlisted June 11, 1861, blacksmith, age 26,
single, residence South Boston, born in Galway, Ire. Mustered in June
11, 1861, term 3 years. Killed June 27, 1862, Gaines' Mill, Va.

FOLEY, John, Co A, enlisted June 11, 1861, tailor, age 23, residence
Boston, born in Ireland. Mustered in June 11, 1861, term 3 years.
Deserted as Corp. July 31, 1863, at Frederick, Md.

FARLEY, John, Co B, Corp., enlisted June 11, 1861, brassmoulder, age 25,
single, residence Boston, born in Boston, Mass. Mustered in June 11,
1861, term 3 years. Mustered out June 21, 1864, as Private.

FARLEY, Patrick, Co B, enlisted June 11, 1861, laborer, age 34, married,
residence Chelsea, born in Ireland. Mustered in June 11, 1861, term 3
years. Discharged for disability, June 15, 1863.

FARLEY, Michael, Co G, enlisted June 11, 1861, carpenter, age 29,
married, residence Lynn, born in Ireland. Mustered in June 11, 1861,
term 3 years. Wounded at Malvern Hill, Va., July 1, 1862. Discharged
for disability Jan 2, 1863.

FEELEY, Richard, Co G, enlisted June 11, 1861, shoemaker, age 22,
single, residence Holliston, born in Kilkenny, Ire. Mustered in June
11, 1861, term 3 years. Promoted Sergt. Missing May 18, 1864, at Laurel
Hill, Va. Investigation fails to elicit any further information in this
case.

FOLEY, John, Co G, enlisted Feb 5, 1862, bootmaker, age 21, single,
residence Randolph. Mustered in Feb 5, 1862, term 3 years. Missing and
reported killed May 12, 1864, at Spottsylvania, Va.

FURFEY, Richard, Co G, enlisted June 11, 1861, weaver, age 19, single,
residence Braintree, born in Ireland. Mustered in June 11, 1861, term 3
years. Wash. not on file. Wounded June 27, 1862, at Gaines' Mill, Va;
May 5, 1864, at Wilderness, Va. Supposed to be killed May 12, 1864,
Spottsylvania, Va.
(NOTE - I don't know what "Wash. not on file" means.)

FURFEY, Cornelius, Co G, enlisted June 11, 1861, weaver, age 22, single,
residence Braintree, born in Ireland. Mustered in June 11, 1861, term 3
years. killed at Malvern Hill, Va., July 1, 1862.

FOLEY, Francis, Co H, enlisted June 11, 1861, bootmaker, age 24, single,
residence Milford, born in Ireland. Mustered in June 11, 1861, term 3
years. Discharged for disability Jan 26, 1863.

FOLEY, John, Co H, enlisted Aug 21, 1863, laborer, age 28, single,
residence New York, credited to Braintree. Mustered in Aug 21, 1863,
term 3 years. Wounded May 5, 1864, Wilderness, Va. Transferred to 32d
Mass. Vols. June 10, 1864.
