Thanks for posting the B&M Employee List. The 1900 Census lists my
great-grandfather's occupation as "conductor." I found him in the B&M list Joseph W.
Smith, entered 5/12/1899. He was born in Bremen, Maine 1857. Unfortunately I
have never been able to find a date or place of death and the B&M List says no
other information is available. He was named in his sister's will dated 1914.
Oh well another brickwall.
