Trying to find the parents of my JOHN MCLEAN born March 2, 1824 in PEI. He states in one census that his Father was born in PEI, and that his Mother was born in England.

If this is so, this branch of the MCLEAN family must have been in PEI by late 18th early 19th century.

He married Eliza Whitby (born in Yoxford, Suffolk, England)
in Charlottetown in 1845. John states he is from SOUTH SHORE on the marriage record. So, maybe, Lot 65,29 - 31.

Their children were John Alexander, Sara Mason M. (Timothy
Henry) Mary Jane, Noah M.(Bridget Cantwell), Angus M. (Lavinia), (Sarah Clare), George William M.(Elizabeth Barry),
Ellen M.( John Barry), Louise.

The family was living in Kent Co. NB by 1871.

JOHN MCLEAN and ELIZA WHITBY died in Weldford, NB.
May be buried in the Brown's Yard Cemetery of Saint Paul's
Anglican Church.

Looking for early Presbyterian and C.o.E. records for Queens county on PEI. John's birth doesn't appear on the register of
Saint Paul's in Charlottetown. Do you know of early Presbyterian records prior to the building of the Kirk of Saint James?

Any info. would be appreciated.
