ATTENTION ALL LISTERS:

1909 Volunteer Census of Ireland Project Accounting

This is how things have shaken out up to this point:

EASKEY:
Zero expenditures. [Duet venture; no xeroxing/mailing costs reported]

KILGEEVER
$350 collected
Total cost: $290 in xeroxing, mailing, and archiving costs.
At close of outgoing mailings, $60 transferring to the Drumcliffe, Sligo
project, as promised.

DRUMCLIFFE
$52.50 on copying at the FHC at 15 cents per page negotiated rate.
$15.90 on postage for mailing to transcribers.
.
Current balance: Negative $ -8.40

= = = We sincerely and profoundly thank EVERYONE who contributed both cash
and
time to these projects = = =

However,. Charlie and I already contributed about $60 each. All Census
Project shortfalls come out of Charlie's Golf Fund, (or my Computer Upgrade
Fund) so if anyone can write him a check for the deficit he'll tee one off
in your name.

I'd also like to remind
Kilgeever Project Volunteers
that
your townlands
(if you haven't completed them)
are now due.

It appears that it will take most of the summer to complete proofreading and
editing for submitted files...so, slowly, you will see these appearing on
the Sligo and Roscommon websites as I also have to find time in my busy life
to do the editing.

The next question: Are we up for another townland?
This time, despite likely protests of
capitalistic and other sorts of favoritism,
I'm inclined to do a townland requested by our
largest donors of time / money--
and hope that they agree on a Sligo location.
However, if we do another townland, I would
insist that we have a volunteer
who would commit to completing the proofreading
and editing of submitted files,
as I can anticipate that I will not be
available for this task in the coming year
because I will be leading an intimidatingly
major computer upgrade at work.
[Yup, Charlie, I took the job.]

Feedback? Flame me? <g>

<Please post your response(s) in public.>

Again, THANK YOU, ALL for your efforts.
