The Battle of Culloden took place about 10 miles from Clan MacIntosh
HeadQuarters,Loch Moy,Inverness area. The MacIntosh were in charge of the entire Clan
Chattan, geographically responsible almost from the lowland border all the
way to LochNess,a very large portion of the highlands. In fact it came down to
us and a few other larger clans in the end,but we couldn't hold it,to many had
been killed in the 1st Jac Rebellion 35'.Many upper hand individuals had
prices on their heads afterwards, then many flew and changed their names because
of this (Aliases).I'm sure you already new all this, its the newbies I'm
concerned about.

Aliases were also used for other reasons, not just for wanted individuals.I
have a great article on them,if you'd like I'll send you and any else whom
wishes to have it.Its also posted in the MacThomas Archives, about 5 years ago.
