Count me in. Judith McCombs

I have traced my father's McCombs roots back to his grandfather, Makiah
McCombs of Erie PA. And--here comes the funny jog--I have traced the
McCombs family who raised my father's father after he ran away from home at
five or six--one Susan Malvina McCombs Crouch of Illinois. I can trace
Susan, said to be some kind of cousin to Makiah, back to her
great-grandfather, Andrew McCombs of what is now Herkimer County NY. Andrew
was born 1740 in Wigtown, Scotland; enlisted in the Mohawk Valley Tryon
County Militia in 1762; died at the Battle of Oriskany, August 1777,
leaving a widow and six children.

Does this match anyone else's genealogy?
