David Greene,FASG, owner and editor of TAG states in the August 1999 Essex
Genealogist that " I would never trust Lewis's unsupported assertions." He,
further refers to the October 1976 TAG article by Threlfall ( a well known
genealogist) in which the Skirbeck information on the Ingalls is givensnd
which . Greene repeats Edmund, son of Robert, married Annis Telbe 7 June 1618
at the church of St.Nicholas, Skirbeck, Lincolnshire. The names and
birthdates of their children are also given.by Greene Anne, or Annis's name
of Telbe is apparently a variant of Tealby, the name of a village in Lincs.
In her article in the Feb 1999 Essex Genealogist, Marcia Lindberg demolishes
the theory of the 1629 arrival date for Edmund and his brother and places it
in 1638., based on deeds, She includes a copy of Edmund's will. There is more
on the Ingalls in the May and November issues of the Essex Geneaologist
Robert Bowman
