Before bringing the Pilgrims over, the "Mayflower" was involved in France
to England trade. After she returned to Eng. she was returned to this cross
Channel trade. However, the last Port books with mention of her was in Oct.
1621 and in 1624 she was declared in ruins and valued at L128+. This was
the last official mention of her. It is believed - not proven - that she
was scraped at this time with her timber used in such things as a barn
building and her masts used in a Baptist chapel at Abington, Oxfordshire -
1700. Some have theorized, more likely fantasized, that her masts were used
in the ship, "Brielle," that brought Wm. of Orange to England in 1688.
