Marcia,

My Trumble/Trumbulls are from Rowley, Massachusetts. My main source is the
"Early Settlers of Rowley, Mass." by Blodgett & Jewett. Also the Bailey
Genealogies from "The Essex Antiquarian."

I am descended from Abigail Trumble b. 10: 10th month: 1651 in Rowley, Essex
Co., MA and her husband Dea. Joseph Bailey, who was born circa 1647, also in
Rowley, via their son Richard Bailey, b. 30-Sep-1675 in Rowley.

Abigail's parents are John Trumble and Ann, widow of Michael Hopkinson. Her
last name may be Gott.

I have kept the old spelling of Trumble, rather than Trumbull, which is
probably what the name morphed into later, only because that is how it is in
the old records. Spelling it either way appears to be accepted.

I'm sorry, but I don't know if any cousins from that line ended up in Nova
Scotia. My descendants seemed to stay in the New England area, then started
moving into the Mid-West in the early to mid 1800s, mostly to Illinois and
Missouri (St. Louis for the most part!).

Hope this helps,
Barbara
