Bob,
That is exactly my point. The compilers of the VRs made changes. No matter
how tempted we may be to put in our records what "we" think it should be, we
MUST use exactly what is in the VRs unless we have far better evidence that
another date is accurate. If we do make a change, we are bound to adequately
annotate such change. To do otherwise is a failure on our part in our
responsibility as serious genealogists.
