Hi, John,

I have a bit on these OSGOODs though this particular family is not my
OSGOOD. I come down via this Christopher's sister Deborah who md. John RUSS.

At 07:32 AM 5/11/03 -0700, you wrote:

Here's what I have on these folks per a few sources:

1. NEHGR "The Osgood Family in New England", Vol. 13, p. 201, the issue of
this Christopher are listed as

by 1st wife: Hannah Belknap, ( - 21 Nov 1679)
Mary, 5 July 1665 - 5 Apr 1700, m. John Marston, 28 May 1689
Hannah, b. 19 Oct 1668, m. John Carlton, 22 Aug 1688
Dorothy, b. 4 Jul 1671, m. _?_ Anniss
Abigail, b. 29 Aug 1673, m. Joseph Carlton, 2 Aug 1694
Christopher, b. 28 Jun 1675
Ezekiel, b. 5 Nov 1679

by 2nd wife: Hannah Barker ( - 6 Apr 1687)
Precilla, b. 1 Apr 1681, m. James Russell
Sarah, b. 19 Feb 1683, m. -?- Gray
Esther, b. 31 Oct 1684, m. -?- Langdon
Anna, b. 8 March 1687

entry.

Yes, it would appear the VRs may??? be in error and the correct name
probably???? should be Anna.

no children by 3rd wife: Sarah -?- ( - 8 Jul 1689)

by 4th wife: Sarah -?-
Rebecca, b. 3 May 1692, m. Robert Barnard
Lydia, (14 Jun 1694 - 20 Jul 1694)
Martha, b. 14 Dec 1698, m. Daniel Moore
Jeremiah, b. 1702
Mary, b, 1705, m. John Foster

2. NEHGR , "Descendants of John Redington", Vol. 61, p. 226

Sarah, (12 Mar 1658 Topsfield, MA - Jul 1689), daughter of John and Mary
(GOULD) REDINGTON, "m. as third wife Christopher Osgood; no issue."

3. On these marriages for Christopher and on the marriage of the 1st Mary
per Torrey:

p. 547
"OSGOOD, Christopher (1643-1723) & 1/wf Hannah BELKNAP (-1679), Lynn; 6 Dec
1663; Salem"
"OSGOOD, Christopher (1643-1723) & 2/wf Hannah BARKER (-1687); 27 May 1680;
Andover"
"OSGOOD, Christopher (1643-1723) & 3/wf Sarah REDINGTON (1659-Jul 1689); 21
Dec 1687; Topsfield"
"OSGOOD, Christopher (1643-1723) & 4/wf Sarah -?-; aft Jul 1689, bef 1692;
Andover"

p. 491
"MARSTONE, John (ca 1664-1741) & Mary OSGOOD (-1700); 28 May 1689; Andover"

The marriage of the 2nd Mary to John FOSTER is not in Torrey for he only
covered marriages "Prior to 1700." I found no marriage for an Anna OSGOOD.
If Anna did marry then it was probably after 1700.

As you have the published VRs of Andover won't quote from them. From the
above sources it appears he had no issue from his 3rd., wife Sarah
REDINGTON. The last set of issue appear to be from his 4th wife also named
Sarah whose maiden names no one appears to know at this time or at least
not in any of the sources I have????
