From "Edward Burcham of Plymouth and Lynn, Mass.," The New England
Historical and Genealogical Register, 1847-1994, vol. 108, p. 95
"On 25:9: 1651 he was a witness against William Witter, of Lynn, the aged
Baptist, for absence from church and for being rebaptized. This was the
occasion when Dr. John Clarke, Obadiah Holmes, and John Crandall of Rhode
Island were found guilty of holding services at William Witter's house and
were sentenced to be whipt."

and Genealogical Register, 1847-1994, vol. 8, p. 168
"Witter, - William, Lynn, will 1659, proved 1661; wf. Annis, ch. Josias,
Hannah, m. to Robert Burdin."

Sd Widows Name was Hannah she Came With Her Son Josiah to Stonington and
Lived to a Great age & was Drowned In a small Brook haveing only her face In
it

Josiah Witter Died at Stonington About Middle aged
Elisabeth Married a Langworthy afterward A Crandal Bare Children by
Langworth & Died about the year 1733 In the 72nd year of her Age
Mary Married John Parke of Preston had a Daughter by him her name Abigail.

Sarah married to Peter Tilt of Westerly had Children by him
Abigail married to John Freeman of Preston had Children by him"
