Hi Bob,
I've been in Lynn a few times visiting friends, but am not familiar with the
city in general. I'd like to suggest that you visit City Hall in Lynn,
and find out information from the City Clerk. I just did a Google search
and found the web site for the "City of Lynn." I didn't find a Department
which mentioned the cemeteries, so I did an on-site search for "cemetery"
and found the following:
http://www.ci.lynn.ma.us/public_documents/LynnMA_DPW/000944C7-70E903AC
This page offers the "boards" and "commissions" ..
http://www.ci.lynn.ma.us/public_documents/LynnMA_BComm/0009D62E-70E903AC
Home page:
http://www.ci.lynn.ma.us/default.shtml
And, here is the web site for the Lynn Historical Society:
http://www.lynnmuseum.org/
And, here is the web site for the Lynn Library:
http://www.noblenet.org/lynn/index.html
I would guess that a visit to each facility would get you at least some
information, and I would hope that the Cemetery Commission could give you
some pointers as to how many cemeteries are actually in Lynn. (Only one
is mentioned on the Lynn City Hall web site.)
Hope this helps.
Betty (near Lowell, MA)

I will be visiting Rhode Island for a wedding in early-mid July and may be
able to visit Lynn. Since my time will be limited, I thought I might find
someone familiar with Lynn and spend some a day or so with me.

surnames are Collins (my mother's maiden name), Breed, Farrington, Chase,
Basset, Baker and most Lynn families of that era. I have done research on
my families for 30 years or so, and don't know what I may find at research
sources, but cemeteries would be interesting. Problem is I don't currently
have many cemeteries identified.
