I am researching my husband's AMARAL family who lived in Gloucester for many years. When his great grandfather Antone P. Amaral's obituary ran in the Gloucester newspaper, in Tuesday June 14, 1910, the following Fraternal Lodge was mentioned. The Progresso Lodge, a Portuguese Fraternity. Could someone tell me, does this lodge still exist, and how would one contact them? Would they share information of a member with the members family? We hope to spend the month of August in MA and CT....this has fueled my desire to learn more of Gloucester and our families who lived there. Thank you...
