Here is what I have on the early years of the Ilsley family. Perhaps you can connect to them.
54. Elisha Ilsley, Illsley, Illsbey or Ilsly, m. Hannah Poore Mar. 14, 1667VR, TD
He was an "early settler" on the north shore (Newbury) along with other relatives William and wife Barbara, John, Barbara b. 1609 ("age 50 in 1659"). He d. intestate 1702.N5:344, 7:88
He came on the Confidence in 1638.N14:335
Poore says that Elisha died 16 Jan 1690/1Poore

My "N" references should be "Reg." - that is, the New England Histoic and Genealogical Society Register.
I didn't follow the surname beyond this marriage, but the VR's and other references go waaay back.
