The 1926 missing man from Ohio is my maternal grandfather, Harold Lee
Bishop.

I've got him & all of his family, starting from his Reading, MA Sept.
8, 1900 birth certificate that was recorded December 31, 1900 (and) his
Providence, RI Aug. 5, 1900 birth certificate that was recorded
September 1900 - to his disappearance in the 1930 Census. Between the 2
BCs, there's actually 3 different dates that could be 'played with' as
birth dates.

In the 1930 Census, he's not found with his father Howard E. and
stepmother Theresa in Summit Co., Sawyerwood, Ohio; nor is he found with
his sister Georgina and brother-in-law Frank Williams in Summit Co.,
Akron, Ohio, and he's not found with his wife Thelma G. Inskeep-Bishop
and their 3 children in Union Co., Ohio, whom he married in 1922 in Ohio.

According to Union Co., Ohio court documents I have, he vanished on
Monday, January 4, 1926 from Union Co., Plain City, Ohio. I'm trying
'find' his whereabouts, including a possible remarriage from 1927 - on
and / or a grave site for him. SSA FOIA Unit did a paid research for me
and my mother - his only surviving child that we know of - and SSA wrote
me that no such person by his name, dob or last known residence was
found to made application for a SS card. I've got his sister's SS card
application.

The man who died in 1974 is only a possibility for me to look at. As for
him actually being my grandfather? I won't know until I find an obit or
other documentation on him. That's why I'm trying so hard to find the
1974 man's parents' names and their places of birth, be it the US or
Canada.
