Just for the heck of it, I put the names into WorldConnect. There was a John
L. Batchelor, b. Danby, VT, 1817, who married a Charlotte Story. This was
the ONLY record that came up.

It isn't Batchelder, but it is one of the variations that are listed in the
published vital records.
