Snipping here to get to the important part.
Lucy Pool daughter of Ebenezer and Elizabeth Norwood married James Tarr.
The Lucy Pool who married David Tarr is the daughter of Caleb Pool and
Martha Boreman
This controversy had my great aunt and her cousins tied up for years,
but was straightened out by Dr. John Bradley Arthaud in his extensive
article in the NEHGR on the Descendants of John Wallis. It includes an
excellent genealogy of the Benjamin Tarr family, which is most of the
Tarrs of Gloucester/Rockport. The article ran in the Register from July
1998 through July 1999 with some corrections in the October 1999 issue.
I would rely on this article over other secondary sources. Arthaud is
meticulous and sources are given.
As far as I have been able to determine, Lucy, wife of James Tarr died
between the 1800 and 1810 census.

>There are 2 potential Gloucester marriages:
>Lucy Pool md. James Tarr Nov. 17, 1753 (she would be about 17y/o)
>Lucy Pool md. David Tarr Dec 5, 1758 (she would be about 22y/o).

>or not, I do not know.
>Moses Pool b. June 20, 1736 was a twin to the surviving Lucy Pool Tarr.
>I was told that he died Apr. 8, 1738. (I need to verify the death date.)
