There are no members of the Noyes family in the Old Burial Ground but Mrs.
Abigail Ames is there. Her gravestone reads, " Here lyes buried the body of
Mrs. Abigail Ames, the wife of Samuel Ames who died June ye 25 1719 in the
26 year of her age." Also Mrs. Priscilla Eames ( a derivativative of Ames) "In
memory of Mrs Priscilla Eames formerly wife of Mr Benjamin Kimball who died
Novemr the 1 1782 in the 84th year of her age." Near this site is the Old
Cemetery in Groveland (formerly Bradford). There you will find Mr. George
Noyes, died 17 Aug 1837, age22 and Miss Eliza, daughter of Joseph & Elizabeth
Noyes, died 28 Dec 1828, in her 18th year.
