The City Directories for most cities in that time period have reverse
street indices. I don't know where you are located, but you can probably
ILL the films or borrow from your Local Family History Center. Or you
could call the Lawrence PL and ask for a lookup. Sometimes the librarians
have time for what appears to be a quick question.

Does anyone know if there is some way of searching on an address in the
1930's to see who lived there? My grandmother, Margaret Puchtler, died at
110 East Pleasant St. in Lawrence, MA on 5 Sep 1934. This address wasn't
her home (she lived in Methuen). It may have been her sister's home but
I'm not sure. Her sister was Magaretha Moeckel (husband John Moeckel). Any
suggestions would be appreciated.
