Subject: [MAESSEX] help re Israel Trask of Hamilton Essex
Date: Thu, 17 Apr 2008 17:50:24 +1000
Hello from Australia.
I am trying to find information on the death of Israel Trask, born 1816
Salem Massachussetts. I have tracked him through every census from 1850 to
1880. I know he was alive in 1889 because I have a letter his daughter
Georgia M Mayhew nee Trask wrote to her uncle George Trask in Fiji. I cannot
find him in the 1890 census nor can I find his wife Charlotte A Trask nee
Kimball. So assume they both died between April 1889 and the 1890 census.
The LDS library catalogue does not appear to have any records covering this
period for Hamilton Essex. Can some kind person point me in the right
direction to where I can find their deaths and burials.
He and his wife were in Hamilton Essex for the 1870 and 1880 census.
My main point of research is to find Israel's parents as his brother George,
my ggrandfather, states in a statutory declaration given in Fiji that he was
born in 1818 in Salem to Levy and Harriet Trask. The Trask Family History
group have no record of this marriage so I thought that maybe, by chasing
down Israel I might find some clue as to his parents.
I would be very grateful for any advice on this problem. If I can help
anyone with Surrey or Kent (England) would be happy to reciprocate.
Thanks for reading
Regards
Joy in Queensland Australia
