I found this information in Hardy & Hardie, past and present by H.Claude
Hardy 1735.
Eldad or Ephraim......that is the question. The children of Ephraim are
certainly not the same children you have listed for Eldad. Confusion still.

77: Eldad Hardy (William3, William2, Thomas1), b. at Bradford, Mass., 25 Apr
1720; d. at Bradford, Mass., 16 June 1764. He m. at Bradford, Mass., 26
Nov. 1744, Hannah Savory.
Eldad Hardy served in the French and Indian War. He was one of the 22
Hardys on the "Alarm List" of 97 men from Bradford, Mass. Administration of
his estate was granted John Burbank 23 Jul. 1764.
Children, b. at Bradford, Mass;
Ephraim, b. 16 Sept 1745; m. at Newbury, Mass., Susanna Cheney, 17 or 27
Nov. 1767.
Enos, b. 5 May 1747; d. at Bradford, 16 Aug 1753.
Jabez, b. 21 June 1750; d. at Bradford, 19 Aug 1753.

Ephraim Hardy (Eldad4, William3, William2, Thomas3), b. at Bradford, MA., 16
Sept. 1745; d. 6 Mar. 1793, age 49 years. He m. at Newbury, Mass., 17 Nov.
1767, Susanna Cheney. His widow moved with children to Grantham, NH. The
date of her death is not known.
Ephraim Hardy was an officer, Sergeant, in the Revolutionary War. Was a
Minute Man, and marched on Lexington Alarm, 19 Apr. 1775. He was in the
Battle of Bunker Hill. (See History of Cornish, by Child.)
