I did not intend to spark a discussion on immigration. My only intent
was to point out the lack of care for our heritage in our historic towns and
cities. If anyone is to do anything to preserve our heritage, it will be
those of us who care.
Personally, I am writing to the City of Lynn and its city "fathers,"
local newspapers and radio stations. I will also follow up on the excellent
suggestion of school involvement, since the first elementary school in Lynn
was the Ingalls School, originally built on the Edmund Ingalls place next to
the Edmond Lewis farm.

I will also join the Lynn Historical Society and help in any way I can
from the West Coast. I hope others will take steps to promote historic
preservation in their towns, counties and states.
