Dear Karl Gleason and

I am interested in (all) the families of Shelburne Town and Shelburne Falls
Village (the latter is a village partly in Shelburne Town and partly in
Buckland Town).

I found a number of GLEASONs in Shelburne Town and Shelburne Falls. I
would appreciate any information you have.

Thank you.
Deane Merrill

In the current phone directory there are about 20 GLEASONs in Franklin
County. There is one in (the Buckland portion of) Shelburne Falls:
M.W.GLEASON, 12 South Street, Shelburne Falls. 413-625-2925.

I THINK there is a Gleason who works in the Shelburne Town Hall today.

There are NO Gleasons in H.A. Manning's 1941-42 Directory of Shelburne Falls.

In the 1920 U.S. Census, MA, Franklin County, Shelburne Town, page 2A,
Dwellling #24, Family #34, at 42 Main Street, Shelburne Falls, there is a
Clifford H. GLEASON age 51, and his wife Minnie E. GLEASON, age (43 or 45
or 48?). Both were born in MA, as were their parents.
I have not checked Buckland Town in the 1920 Census.

In the 1850 U.S. Census, MA, Franklin County, Shelburne Town, there are NO
GLEASONs.
I have not checked Buckland Town in the 1850 Census.

I have not checked other US Censuses.
