2. Joesph GOULD was born in 1794 in Colrain, Franklin, Massachusetts.1 He
died on November 5, 1855 in Ludlow, Windsor, Vermont.2 He was married to
Mehitable MAYO on June 22, 1818 in Shutesbury, Franklin, Massachusetts.3,4

3. Mehitable MAYO was born on February 7, 1801 in Shutesbury, Franklin,
Massachusetts.5,6 She died on June 28, 1821 in Ludlow, Windsor, Vermont.7

children:

4. Henry GOULD. Henry bought of John Cochran, Jr., land north of the school
lot, and also of Samuel Deane of Guilford part of the McDowell farm, and
settled in Colrain some time before 1774. He was a blacksmith. He was
married to Mary.8

5. Mary. Henry GOULD and Mary had the following children:
i. Henry GOULD was born on March 2, 1774 in Colrain, Franklin,
Massachusetts.9

Massachusetts.20 He died on December 2, 1819 in Ludlow, Windsor, Vermont.21
He was married to Mercy GOULD on March 13, 1798 in Jaffrey, Cheshire, New
Hampshire.22

7. Mercy GOULD was born on December 29, 1770 in Jaffrey, Cheshire, New
Hampshire.23 She died on December 10, 1819 in Ludlow, Windsor, Vermont.24

14. Oliver GOULD was born on October 3, 1733 in Lunenburg, Worcester,
Massachusetts.28 He died on December 19, 1795 in Jaffrey, Cheshire, New
Hampshire.29 History of Jaffrey
Oliver Gould and family move from Lunenburg, Worcester Co., MA to Rindge,
NH about 1771 and to Jaffrey February 27, 1778, when he bought of Ebenezer
Stratton the present Garfield Farm in Squantum Village. He served in the
Revolution. He died of smallpox December 19, 1795, and was buried in the
smallpox cemetery.

Oliver Gould served in the Volunteer Colonial troops that marched to the
assistance of Ticonderoga 1777.
He was married to Mary STOCKWELL on May 3, 1759 in Petersham, Worcester,
Massachusetts.30

15. Mary STOCKWELL was born on August 27, 1735 in Petersham, Worcester,
Massachusetts.31 She died on January 8, 1820 in Jaffrey, Cheshire, New
Hampshire.32 Oliver GOULD and Mary STOCKWELL had the following children:

Oliver Gould - Postrider calls on all persons indebted to him for
Newspapers, to make immediate payment. His 4th quarter commenced last week,
at the conclusion of which all persons who wish to receive papers of him must
pay in advance. Those who have been punctual, will receive his thanks,
September 10,1817.

Oliver Gould Jr. was born ca. 1758, resident Amherst 1810, poll tax only 1815
(called OG Jr.). A pauper at Amherst by 1834, cared for by George Gould (who
lived outside Amherst). Oliver was an alcoholic. Died ca. 1839. After
Oliver's death his wife went "West". Children listed: a daughter born ca
1799, lived at Amherst 1810. A daughter, born ca 1804, lived in Amherst 1810.
A daughter born ca 1808, lived at Amherst 1810. A son, born 17 July 1810 at
Amherst, lived at Amherst 1810.

v. Susannah GOULD was born on January 8, 1769 in Jaffrey, Cheshire,
