Ellen,
If you live close to a Family History Library (Mormon), you can rent the
microfilm from them.
Microfilm number for the 1865 Mass. State Census, Franklin Co. is 954563
and for the 1855 Mass. State Census, Franklin Co. is 953982.
Springfield, in Hampden Co., would be a different number, but someone at the
FHL could probably help you find the correct microfilm number. And, warnings
