I have just realized I gave the incorrect birth date for Luther Dudley b.
1817 in Leverett, Franklin, MA. I was trying to find out if there would be a
way to obtain any published articles about this politically active
Grandfather. I am not aware of any newspaper in this town and would
appreciate some ideas or help on how to go about searching for anything that
might be in print. Luther Dudley was a selectman for a number of year,
Overseer of the poor for several years, Chairman of the board and School
Committee. he was a Justice of the piece for twenty-eight years, ten of those
years he was Trial Justice. Luther Dudley represented his district in the
State Legislature in 1866. now if anyone could tell me how to go about
getting proof of these offices I would be very grateful.
