There is a John Ormsbe shown in the 1790 Hampshire County, MA census records
for the town of Warwick (now Franklin Co.). Does anyone have any information
on this person, family or have access to the Warwick VRs who might check for
information on him and the Ormsbe family? I have a John Ormsby of Monson,
Ma. b. abt 1781 who married Rachel __. They had a dau. Emily b. abt 1815.
Emily ORMSBY married in 1837 in Monson, MA Thadeus Gaylord CAREW b. 1809.
John ORMSBY may have married second to Lois JONES of Stafford, CT. I'm
trying to determine if the John Ormsbe found in Warwick in 1790 is linked to
my ORMSBY family in the Springfield, MA area. Thanks
