Franklin County did not exist until 1811........

Here's a breakdown of the Counties and time of incorporation:

ALL of Massachusetts was Middlesex County starting with 1643
then changes started as shown below:
--Hampshire County- 1662
--Franklin Co. from Hampshire--1811
--Hampden Co. from Hampshire Co.=1812
- Berkshire Co. from Hampshire- 1761
- Barnstable Co.- 1685
- Bristol Co.-1685
- Dukes Co.-1695
- Essex Co.- 1643
- Nantucket Co.-1695
- Norfolk Co.- 1793
- Plymouth Co.- 1685
- Suffolk Co.- 1643
