I am trying to ascertain the date and place of death/burial of Collins
Newhall.
BIRTH: Leominster, MA VR to 1850, publ. 1911, p.104: "Collins, son of Daniel
and Lettice b. 24 May 1805."
MARRIAGE: Leominster, MA VR to 1850, Marriages, p. 237: "Collins and Nancy C.
Maynard June 12, 1825, no intentions recorded."
DEATH: not found in Worcester Co., MA VRs nor in Northfield, MA VRs.
CHILDREN: Leominster, MA VR to 1850, Births, p.105: William Augustus, son of
Collins and Nancy, b. 17 Sept 1825.

Family records indicate that Collins and Nancy and son, William, moved to
Northfield, MA in 1833, and also that Collins died in 1833. However, he is not
buried in Leominster or in Northfield where his wife was buried in 1871 (she d.
6 Jan 1871). Nor is he to be found in Kirby, Caledonia, VT where his parents
and brother, Merit, are buried.

Is there any online access to probate records in Franklin Co. in case he
wrote a will? His widow Nancy lived with her brother-in-law, Hezekiah Mattoon, in
the 1850, 1860 and 1870 census of Northfield. Her son William Augustus had
moved to Ogdensburg, NY in 1849.
