Your surname, DAVIS is mentioned in the history at the URL below,
"A Baptist Church was organized January 24, 1772. Its
meeting-house is on the line between New Salem and Pres-
cott, and the church is called the "New Salem and Prescott
Baptist Church." The preachers and pastors have been
the following: Rev. ..., Paul DAVIS, "
maybe your Davis, maybe not, however, perhaps there's some tidbit
