1. Elizabeth FELTON was born about 1777.1
Second Generation
2. Benjamin FELTON was born in 1727 in Salem, Essex, Massachusetts.2
He died on 21 Mar 1813 in Shutesbury, Hampshire, Massachusetts.3 A

He also came here with his father's family in 1740. His father
sold him Third Div. #14 in 1753 which he immediately resold (or
morgaged). A 1759 highway plan shows "Benjamin Felton's frame" in
that part of Shutesbury that was subsequently (1824) annexed to New
Salem. The 1759 assessement shows one poll but little real estate and
no personal estate. In Shutesbury he continued to serve as Treasurer
of the New Salem Propriety. Benjamin FELTON and Mary PIERCE were
married in 1776 in New Salem, Hampshire, Massachusetts.4,5
3. Mary PIERCE was born about 1749.6 She died on 5 Apr 1829.7

Massachusetts.11 He died on 12 May 1844 in Warwick, Franklin,
Massachusetts.12
v.Ebenezer FELTON was born on 3 Feb 1788.8 He died in 1864.1

4. Ebenezer FELTON was born in 1685 in Salem, Essex,
Massachusetts.13,14 He died in 1776 in New Salem, Hampshire,

He sold his house in Salem, Mass., August 21, 1740 "now of ye
plantation called New Salem, and came here, at the age of 55 years
with his family probably to Sec. Div. #37. He lived here until his
death in 1776. Jehoadan signed with a mark. Ebenezer FELTON and
Jehoadan WARD were married in Oct 1716.8
5. Jehoadan WARD was born in Mar 1690 in Salem, Essex,
Massachusetts.14,15 Ebenezer FELTON and Jehoadan WARD had the
following children:
i.Amos FELTON was born on 5 Jun 1724 in Salem, Essex,
Massachusetts.16 He died on 20 Jan 1806 in Shutesbury, Hampshire,

He came here with his father's family in 1740. He father sold
him Third Div. #30 in 1745 but he sold (or mortgaged) this in 1747/48
at the time he served in Capt. Stoddard's company "of New Salem." He
was assessed one poll in 1759 but had no real or personal estate. He
moved to that part of Shutesbury which was later (1824) to be annexed
to New Salem.

bought First Div. #39 in 1744. Lydia was sister of William Stacy.
v.Nathaniel FELTON was Baptized on 23 Jan 1728.14 He was born
about 1728 in Salem, Essex, Massachusetts.
vi.John FELTON was Baptized on 23 Jan 1728.14 He was born about
1728 in Salem, Essex, Massachusetts.
vii.Nathaniel FELTON was Baptized on 31 May 1730 in Salem, Essex,
Massachusetts.19 He was born about 1730 in Salem, Essex,
Massachusetts. He died in 1801 in New Salem, Hampshire,

The Pierce brothers came here in 1751. He came or vistied here in
1749 "fetching another hefferf rom New Salem" for his mother in Salem.
He kept an account book which (asided from Timothy Page's later one)
is the best source of our direct information about domestic life in
the 1750's and 1760's. He was also the District Treasurer. He
probably lived here the rest of his life, perhaps on Third Div. #19.
Samuel PIERCE and Mary KING were married on 12 Jul 1749 in Salem,

She was sister of Samuel King, Jr. Samuel PIERCE and Mary KING had
