Subject: [MAFRANKL] Taylors of Sunderland
>Kathy,
I am also interested in the Taylor family of Sunderland as my
ancestor Stillman Bowman of Hadley consecutively married two Taylor
women from Montague, part of Sunderland until January 25, 1754.
* Harriet Taylor [b 1804/06] in Montague, married at the
Congregational Church in Montague on March 8, 1827.
* Caroline Taylor [b 1810], married in Montague 1846 (probably a
sister, especially as they name a child Harriet), died March 10, 1869.
I'm also wondering if Rudolphus Taylor, born July 06, 1787 in
Montague, was their father, and David Taylor, his father - however, I
have no documentation to support this. Can anyone enlighten me on
this potential connection? If it is indeed a connection, this would
also trace back to the Samuel Taylor line of Sunderland that you mention.
As to the Samuel Taylor line, I did find online the downloadable
(also printable) book,
1673. 1899. History of the Town of Sunderland, Massachusetts
By John Montague Smith, Henry Walbridge Taft, Abbie Talitha
Montague. The Samuel Taylor line of Sunderland is listed in this book.
