I checked the Springfield City Directories for you, and I found a Peter King, although I don't know if it's"your" Peter King:

1876: Peter King, laborer, South Street

1878: Peter King, emp B&A RR, 48 Union St.

1879-1883: same listing as 1878, although in 1883 a second Peter King is listed, a tailor, living at 13 Boylston St.

There were no listings for a Pierre/Peter Roy. The old directories list only the head of household, no wife or children.
