My father-in-law Ethan Henry Allen was born in 1910 in Hadley, MA. His
father's name was Henry Allen and his birthplace is listed on his son's birth
certificate as Sam River, Massachusetts. This place is unknown in every source I
have looked in so I conclude it must be a "Ghost town" unless someone out there
knows anything about it. It is possible it may have been in New York state or
Vermont.
