He married (1) SARAH LORD. He married (2) REBECCA AVERILL.

Notes for JAMES SMITH:
James Born in York, October 5, 1725, settled in the Alewive section of
Knnebunk on land laid out to him by the town of Wells in 1753. He married
1st wife, Sarah Lord, daughter of James Lord, whose will was probated in
1777, -19 december, 1754. She died after the birth of their only shild
James, and he married his 2nd wife, Rebecca Averill(int. 3 Sept. 1759, Wells
town Records), daughter of Stephen Averill or Arundel. He mentioned Rebecca
in the following will recorded in 1812,
