Hi list!
This week's York County Coast Star has a story by Nina Heiser about Kathy
Ostrander's () wonderful website kennebunkphotos.com;
. She's put up 'then and now' pics of Kennebunk houses from the collections
of the Brick Store Museum (nice old photo) and the Kennebunk Free Libary.
Some of these photos were in the original collection of the late Kennebunk
historian Kenneth Joy. (I trace my interest in Kennebunk History to visits to
his home on Friend Street with my Dad when I was young.) Kathy has '40 or 50'
photos waiting to be added. The newspaper story also mentions that Kathy has
catalouged the 1,100 photos in the KFL's collection. Looks like Kennebunk
History has a very dedicated friend!
The pictures have Street Adresses, and in many cases a note about who built
or lived in the home.
Theres also a page of unidentified homes ( perhaps you can identify one? )
Here's a list of most (hey, I tried! Any typos are mine.) of the names
