Subject: [MAINE] Marriage Certificate, 1834, Kidder / Wilkins, Baskahegan Lake (Amity)

Hello,

I'd like to ask if anyone has any advice .. on how I could obtain the
information off of a marriage certificate.

According to the book, "Marriage Returns of Washington County, Maine, Prior
to 1892,"

"Calvin Kidder of Baskahegan and Mary Wilkins of same .. married 12 Oct 1834
.. by Rev. Abel Alton."

I am trying to determine the parents of Mary Jane Wilkins, and this seems to
be the only way to obtain their names.

An alternative would be for me to locate her death notice or obituary in a
local newspaper, if there was one.

In 1875, Mrs. Mary Kidder was living in Princeton, ME. But, in 1880 ..
her husband, Calvin, was listed as living in the home of his daughter and
son-in-law, Hiram and Mercy DAVIS. So, Mary must have died between 1875
and 1880.

(Calvin died on 19 May 1891 at Age 92 in Princeton, I believe.)

Thank you in advance for whatever information you could offer.

Betty (near Lowell, MA)

P.S. Looking for any information at all .. about a Samuel Wilkins and his
wife .. who were living in the same area .... between 1800 and 1850.
Does anyone have a complete list of their children?
