Am Still Rsearching the Following Grant in Maine;
I now know;
from the 1860 Maine census and the 1870 Delaware census that Andrew J
Grant born 1835,married to Elizabeth J. Fales March 20,1858,father of
Cyrus born 1860[in Maine] and Charles born 1870[in Delaware] are the
grants I have been looking for.I also received,from someone, an exerpt
from a book entitled"The History of Thomaston,Rockland and South
Thomaston,Maine,Volume 2"the following info.
Grant,Hiram,born,Dec 10,1789;came from Berwick;m.Betsey Biskey of
St.G;resided Beech Woods Thomaston,and died Nov 20,1862
Children;
1.William Joshua,born 1823 m hannah A. Willis,Feb 13,1844
children;Mary E.,William A..,Edwin
2. Mary Jane,bornFrancis Burrill
3.Eliza A.,married Walter Sutherland
4.Michael B.,born about 1829;married Mary E. AchornmNov.20,1852
children Willie born 1855,died 1856
5.Hiram,born 1833,married Margaret A. Gilson,July 24,1853
Children;Albert,born 1854 and Ernest born 1859
6.Andrew Jackson,b.1835;Married Elizabeth J. Fales,March 28,1858
Children;Cyrus,born 1859
7.Frances Elvina married Charles Richardson
8.J.Catharine married John Hull
9.John B. born 1842,now a soldier in the 21st Maine Reg.,
10.martha w.
11.Angie R. married william H Keene
12.Rachel b. about 1849
Though some of thes might ring some bells for you.As you probably guesse
Iam now looking for any info on this Hiram and his parents etc.
