I've been transcribing obituaries from the Brooklyn Standard Union for the
Brooklyn (NY) information pages and found the following death notice and
obituary that might be useful to someone on the Maine or Cumberland County
list.

Saturday December 5, 1931

Death Notice

SYLVESTER—Ivy N. (nee FITZGERALD), widow of John A. on Friday at her residence
342 Elderts lane. Funeral services Sunday evening 8 o’clock. Interment
Tuesday, 10 A.M. at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, South Portland, Maine.

Obituary

Ivy N. SYLVESTER died yesterday at her home, 342 Eldert lane. She was born
in Maine and had been a resident of Brooklyn and Queens for seven years. She
is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Cora MATTHEWS, Mrs. Bessie HALL and Mrs.
Pauline TUCKER; a son Walter I. SYLVESTER, a sister Mrs. May CAGE; one
brother, Walter FITZGERALD, and nine grandchildren. The funeral services will
be held at 8 P.M. tomorrow. The Rev. Hugo MEYER of Christ Lutheran Church will
officiate. Interment at 10 A.M. Tuesday will be at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery,
South Portland, Me., under direction of Feeny & Sons, 1847 Broadway.
