Hello listers,

I am new on this list and I have questions but they go back so far that I am not sure any one can help me.

I have in my possession a letter written to my gr.grandmother, Martha Estes Cummings, dated Feb. 24, 1897, from her sister Sarah. Sarah gives the history of their family, fathers and mothers side and the names of all their siblings and the date of their birth.

The father of this Estes family that I would like to research is Johnathan Estes born in Cornish, Maine in 1793 and his wife Eunice Parker also born in Cornish in 1798. They were married in 1815. They had 12 children, two of whom did not live.

I could list the names and dates of birth of all 10 children but at this point I do not know as it would help to trace them in a census. One of my gr. grandmother's sisters married a S. W. Farnham and one a Charles F. Stimpson in Cornish and then moved to Minnesota. Shortly there after Martha and her parents moved to St. Anthony Falls, MN. and in 1854 Martha married Robert Cummings. Sarah, whom I mentioned above married someone called Henry and they moved to San Jose, CA. but I don't know his surname.

If anyone has had the patience to read all this, I guess my question is to whom ever is doing research for this list, do you feel there is anyway I can track these people down.? Would you need more information on the dates of the children's birth? My sincere thanks to you all.
