Roger, In NW Ohio we have the name of Cressey. and it ended up being spelled
Crissey.
There were two or three sons who fought in the Civil war in the 14th Ohio
Company I who came from around Toledo Lucas, Fulton and Wood Counties. Two of
the boys I remember was Josiah, who died in the civil war and Mason. He was
injured but ended of dying from his injuries.
